When Dan Hurry was diagnosed with cancer, he had an epiphany. At the time of his diagnosis, he had been working in supply chain management for over 30 years. He was an expert. However, his observations in the hospital where he was being treated – what he describes as a total disconnect between clinicians and the different parts of the diagnosis and treatment process – got him thinking.
