Jimmy Chung, M.D., chief medical officer at Advantus Health Partners will be a panelist at SAGES 2023 in Montreal, Canada on Saturday, April 1, 8:00 am-3:30pm. The How to Bring New Technology to Your Hospital panel discussion will focus on how surgeons can introduce new technology, including devices and procedures, to their hospitals. During the panel, real-world examples will be shown to highlight the keys to a successful adoption including advocacy for coverage and effective interactions with leadership and industry.
Dr. Chung will be representing the hospital leadership perspective during the panel discussion. He plans to speak to how the value analysis process incorporates evidence and data in decision making to optimize patient outcomes and reduce waste, and what physicians should consider when requesting a new product.
