As chief operating officer for Advantus Health Partners, John is responsible for the overall success of the supply chain, including production planning, inventory management, integrated logistics and consulting services that provide customized solutions to complex challenges faced in health care.
Prior to joining Advantus Health Partners, John was vice president of supply chain and support services operations at Intermountain Healthcare, where he led the organization to reach a “Masters” designation in the annual Gartner Healthcare Supply Chain Top 25 list from 2017-2021. John’s team also received the Gartner “Power of the Profession” award for diversity and talent in supply chain operations. Throughout his career, John’s leadership has led to improvements in the performance of supply chain delivery services. He is a highly motivated and results-oriented leader and is committed to ensuring that Advantus remains a leader in supply chain management. He is passionate about developing and mentoring teams and enjoys building relationships with clients that result in world-class interactions for clinical staff, physicians and business partners.
John holds a bachelor’s degree in biology and a master’s in business administration from Virginia Tech and has served as a Sergeant in the Virginia Army National Guard. He participated in Advancing Health Care through Supply Chain Excellence (AHRMM) inaugural Healthcare Supply Chain Institute program.
