Lisa Ellram, Ph.D.

Professor Lisa M. Ellram (Management) is a University Distinguished Professor and the James Evans Rees Distinguished Professor of Supply Chain at The Farmer School of Business. Dr. Ellram teaches courses in Logistics Management and Supply Chain Management. Her primary areas of research interest include sustainability; buyer-supplier relationships; services purchasing and supply chain management; offshoring and outsourcing; and supply chain cost management. She has published in numerous top journals spanning a variety of disciplines, including Journal of Supply Chain Management, Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Operations Management, California Management Review, MIT Sloan Management Review, and other managerial and academic outlets. She has presented her work on five continents and in more than 30 countries.

Module structure

Each module is self-paced, estimated to take 1-2 hours. There are three topic areas of focus within each module – followed by a 10-question assessment.

Topic organization

Three sub-topics within each module will cover key concepts and provide access to additional resources and references. Plus, there’ll be room for personal reflection.

Stop and reflect

Some of the sub-topics include “pause points” which allow one to take some time to reflect on the information, vocabulary, or scenarios presented throughout the module. The goal is to apply this knowledge to existing circumstances and reflect on what you have learned in the preceding video.

Grading

To complete the course and progress to the next module in the series, you must earn 80% or higher on each of the sub-topic assessments.
