Jimmy Chung, M.D. leads clinical transformation for Advantus Health Partners, with primary responsibility in overseeing physician engagement, product implementation, clinical process design, and integration for the health solutions company.
Prior to joining Advantus, Dr. Chung worked for Providence as an associate vice president, perioperative portfolio. In this role, Dr. Chung lead system-wide strategic oversight of perioperative services to achieve patient-centered clinical quality improvement, value-creation, and program development.
Dr. Chung received his bachelor’s in chemistry at the University of California, Berkeley and a master’s in business administration from the University of Massachusetts. He earned his medical degree from the University of California, San Diego, and completed his surgical residency at the University of Washington. He is board certified in surgery and health care quality management and has practiced general surgery since 2000. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians.
