October marks a significant milestone at Advantus Health Partners as we celebrate Lisa Maynard, our director of Clinical Transformation’s, incredible 20-year career journey.
Lisa first started out as a float pool nurse in 2003, then moved into several other nursing roles, including radiology nurse. “I’ve been with Advantus since its inception as a Director of Clinical Transformation- first over the cardiovascular and interventional radiology vertical, and now over Clinical Solutions and Innovations,” shares Lisa.
In her role, Lisa takes the groundbreaking work of the Clinical Transformation team and creates an opportunity to share that with other organizations that may need assistance in incorporating the clinical voice into their supply chain strategies. Integrating the physician and clinician voice in supply chain decisions and throughout the implementation process creates a synergy that elevates the health care system as a whole.
What are some of the most rewarding aspects of her role? Lisa is passionate about reducing supply costs enough that hospitals can use those funds to grow programs that impact the health of the community and working with physicians and system leaders to integrate new innovations that improve the care of patients.
It brings Lisa great pride to share Advantus’ Clinical Solutions with new hospital systems and watch those systems “move from a culture of supply chain working in isolation and disorganization to one of clinical collaboration and success” shares Lisa.
“Being one of the founding employees of Advantus, I have been so proud to watch this organization grow and become the leader in supply chain solutions. The innovation and expertise excites me, and I cannot wait to see what we become and who we can help,” shares Lisa. “Advantus has given me the opportunity to take my clinical experiences and create truly impactful strategies that not only help our customer save money on supplies but also drive clinical standardization and best practice!”
