Prior to his current role, Rick served as managing director at Huron Consulting Group, and held executive roles at MedAssets, AmerisourceBergen, VHA Inc., and Premier Inc.. An experienced central customer point-of-contact and primary executive, Rick understands the importance of solution execution to both existing and new customers. Rick has a knack for applying cost-effective program solutions and proactively identifying nuances to sustain value. His expertise translates across group purchasing, pharmacy operations, clinical transformation, service lines, purchased services, and other non-labor areas. As such, he has presented to a variety of audiences on topics like clinical resource management, operations improvement and supply chain management.
Rick has a passion for mentoring teams and building collaborative, results-oriented cultures. He holds an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a B.S. in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from North Carolina State University. Rick is an active member of ACHE, HFMA and IIE Society for Health Systems.
